Spring 2023 Final
This project was the final for my CSE 3541 class during my Spring 2023 semester at Ohio State University. The task for our final was to create a project using what we learned throughout the class, so I decided upon creating a game.
Created in Unity, this game utilizes completely original assets including the models, animations, and textures made specifically for this project.
The game was created in two weeks and was inspired by Call of Duty’s zombies mode.
Complete with round-based survival, buyable weapons, upgrades, and endless zombies, the player’s main goal is to survive as long as possible.
This game served as the foundation for Grandma’s Lobotomy, which went on to win the game jam we created it for.

Throughout my Spring 2023 semester, I took the class CSE 3541, “Computer Game and Animation Techniques.” This class taught us about many things regarding animation, such as how transforms pertaining to scale, rotation, and translation work along with how bones work within skeletal meshes. The main software used within this class was Unity, an engine I was already familiar with but had never completed a project in.
For our final project, we were tasked with creating a project using the fundamentals we learned throughout the class. I decided that I wanted to use everything we were taught, so I created animations using Blender, textures, and meshes. I already had prior experience with all of these things, but mostly in Unreal Engine, so using them within Unity was new to me.
The final result is a project that both me and my professor were very happy with, although if we were given more than 2 weeks I believe the scope of the project could have been much greater.
The code for this project went on to be used as the foundation for Grandma’s Lobotomy, and the code is open-source and can be found on my GitHub.
