This project is a plugin for VLC that simulates the experience of watching classic television.

The idea for this project came one day when I was feeling nostalgic and found an archive of old commercials from the 90’s and 2000’s and wanted a reason to use them.

Given a folder for shows and a folder for commercials, the plugin will play a random episode followed by 4-8 random commercials and returning back to another random episode.

This was my first experience creating a plugin for VLC and I am content with how it came out.

The open-source code can be found on GitHub and may be used or altered in any way.
